Four of our favorite Trader Joe's wines on a budget


Rosé made with a proprietary blend of grapes grown on the French coast of the Mediterranean Sea. The blend offers depth, fruit, and body combined with bubbles for a crisp, clean finish. $6.99





A crisp blend from the South of France with vibrant floral notes and a touch of white peach, finishing citrusy and crisp on the palate. The not-too-sweet, not-too-dry nature of this wine make it a swell companion to cool summer salads, and an ideal partner for your next summer cheese board. $6.99


Bold, full-bodied, and rich with notes of black currant and ripe berries. Bursting with layers of dark fruit, cushioned by a set of soft, silky tannins. It’s big and dry enough to stand up to a hearty cut of beef, but also balanced and drinkable enough to enjoy on its own. $6.99





Fun and easy to drink with a little splash of natural watermelon flavor. Made with a bright, light-bodied base of Moscato and Colombard, it has a crisp, succulent edge that’s a perfect match for a salad or drinking on its own. $3.99

Another easy to drink and super-affordable wine from the Trader Joe’s Olivia wine line, this one infused with the sweetness of a little splash of natural peach flavor. This juicy wine pairs brilliantly with cheese plates and charcuterie. $3.99





A lighter, easier-drinking version of classic Chardonnay wines, expressing itself in light notes of peach, honeydew melon, and lightly toasted brioche. Excellent pairing for light pastas, grilled vegetables, and all kinds of seafood. Gentle acidity, and juicy flavors of ripe stone fruit, it also makes a great wine for simply sipping on its own. $6.99


This peppy, young, Trader Joe’s exclusive white wine comes from the Vinho Verde region of Northern Portugal, boasting a crisp, slightly sparkling mouthfeel with pops of green apple and fragrant melon. It’s a natural partner to warm-weather fare like mango jicama slaw, fish tacos, or ripe cantaloupe. $5.49





Trader Joe’s says this “may just be one of the finest hidden gems in our entire wine section,” and a steal at just $6.99! Each sip is smooth and fruity, with ripe aromas of cherry and refined notes of vanilla on the palate, leading into a lovely, lingering finish. Pair with seared steak. $6.99



Best Trader Joe's wines on a budget


California Chardonnay is a class of wine unto itself. With its lush, luxurious body and superbly flavorful finish, this is the wine of your oaky-buttery dreams. Pairs excellently with seafood and a side of cruciferous veggies (think braised Brussels sprouts with garlic). $6.99





With its fruity flavors, ample tannic structure, and utterly enticing aromas, the Villa Cerrina makes it a very easy-drinking wine. Montepulciano, the grape, produces wines with even, active aromas, pronounced tannins and low acidity. It is the second most widely grown native grape in Italy, and one of its most popular as well. $5.99


Made by an Italian winery in the Veneto wine-growing region, this Vivace Rosé is crisp and fruity, with soft notes of green apple and ripe pear, and a delicate effervescence that subtly tickles the tastebuds as you drink it. It pairs spectacularly with seafood dishes, citrus-kissed salads, or grilled chicken breast. $4.99





Charles Shaw Chardonnay boasts a light straw color and aromas of apple and pear commingling with warm vanilla. Creamy on the palate and possessing a soft, lingering finish, it provides the ideal beverage backdrop for pork tenderloin, baked tilapia, cheesy ravioli, or buttery havarti cheese. $3.99







Trader Joe's wines under $10 each


Charles Shaw wines have been around for close to two decades and is an absolute deal at $3.99. This affordable bottle features notes of ripe berries and vanilla spice, and is great served with prime rib, grilled Ahi tuna, or any number of red sauce-based pasta dishes. $3.99





A crisp blend of a variety of grapes from the South of France, Le Rosé is bright and vivacious, with aromas of ripe fruit and moderate acidity. The not-too-sweet, not-too-dry nature of this wine make it a swell companion to salads and cheese boards. $6.99


Made from a blend of Syrah, Grenache and Cinsault grapes, with minimal time on the skins to give it a light pink color with pastel highlights. This lively and balanced wine offers a beautiful freshness, with delicate red fruits, flowers and citrus aromas. $6.99





Made using 100% California Chardonnay grapes, it’s balanced and a fruit forward wine featuring aromas of ripe green fruit, pear, vanilla, and toasted bread. Mild oak character that’s not overdone, and a finish that’s utterly buttery. $6.99
